Being injured can be stressful, which is why here at Habit we want to make your road to recovery as smooth as possible! Habit is able to make a claim to ACC on your behalf, you just need to follow these simple steps:
- Visit the closest Habit Rehab clinic near you! We have 26 locations around the North Island.
- After we have examined your injury, if you are eligible for ACC cover/entitlement we will make a claim to ACC on your behalf. All you need to do is fill out a couple of forms.
- Before you leave, you will need to pay for the appointment. The good news is ACC covers part of the appointment cost, so you’ll just need to cover the remaining amount. However, this is only covered if your claim ends up being accepted. If by reason, your claim isn’t accepted you will have to pay the difference. Click here for the types of treatments ACC can help pay for.
- You will hear within a week whether ACC will cover your injury. You will receive a letter in the post, however if you provide a mobile number or email address you may receive information about your claim much sooner. If ACC doesn’t accept your claim, they will let you know why. If you are concerned about not being covered, click here for a list of all the injuries ACC covers.
- If your claim is accepted, it’s time to asses your options. If you think you are going to need ongoing support from ACC, you can request this, and you will be assigned a case owner who will help get you the support you need. If you think you won’t be able to work due to your injury, you can also request for financial support. Click here for a list of everything ACC supports.
If you are injured, get it touch with one of Habits Rehabilitation clinics today. No ACC referrals required from your GP, we can lodge your claim directly for you.
