Stimulate the nerves
Acupuncture has been around for centuries because it works. If you’re worried about needles then don’t – most first-time acupuncture patients are genuinely surprised at how comfortable the experience turns out to be.
By stimulating the nerves within the skin and muscles, as well as the endorphins and serotonin, acupuncture modifies the way pain signals are received. It also has a balancing and regulating effect on the neurophysiological system of the body.
All of the physiotherapists who practice acupuncture at Habit are members of the Physiotherapy Acupuncturists Association of New Zealand, so you can be sure of the highest standard of practice and ongoing education.
