Private tuition or small group sessions?

Private tuition
Personal assessment and individual sessions with either a Pilates-trained physiotherapist or Pilates instructor, depending on your preference and needs assessment. Private tuition is a good starting point before you move on to our small group sessions – especially if you have a history of injury.
Small group sessions
Group sizes are limited to three or four participants so you can count on closer supervision and more individualized instruction for the best results. These can be circuit based, on equipment at our Pilates studios in Petone and Kapiti, or, mat based at any of our locations.
ABOUT Pilates
The Pilates method was developed by Joseph Pilates in the 1920’s and is a favourite form of exercise for dancers and athletes as well as those looking to improve the performance of their body.
Pilates involves movements designed to improve strength, flexibility, posture and coordination. It combines awareness of the body and correct breathing with exercises to achieve slimmer, longer, stronger muscles without building bulk.
Why do Pilates?
Injury recovery and Rehabilitation: Pilates is very effective in rehabilitation as it gently re-educates the body to move correctly, helping repair injuries. Based on individual instruction, Pilates ensures correct muscle activation and movement patterns.
